7th Post: Anne Frank

5-E
Act 1, Scenes 4,5: How do the events following Anne’s nightmare reveal tensions between Anne and two other members of the household?
When Anne wakes up screaming because she had dreamed of the Nazis taking her away to the camp, she wakes everyone up and could have also gave away their position. Because of this, Mr. Dussel becomes annoyed with Anne and further on in the story or in the movie, they have many arguments. Mr. Dussel blames Anne that they would be discovered and says that everything is wrong with Anne. This then starts a conflict between Mr. Dussel and Anne throughout the story. When Mrs. Frank tried to comfort Anne and tell her it’s alright, Anne sort of rejected her. She really rejected her when Mrs. Frank bent down to kiss Anne on the cheek and Anne turned away. Then, Anne asked for father which really upset Mrs. Frank and led Mrs. Frank into crying. It also led Mrs. Frank and Anne never to understand each other even though they are mother and daughter.
