2nd Post: Anne Frank

What is prejudice? Where in the world have you seen prejudice? What are the effects of prejudice?
Unreasonable feelings, opinions, or attitudes, esp. of a hostile nature, regarding a racial, religious, or national group.
I think prejudice is thinking bad things about someone because of what they look like or what their race is. An opinion that harms other people for what they are. It is sort of like racism. I found out there are many people who die from believing in what they want to believe in. There is this story I heard or read long ago and it was about a family of Christians who were preaching the gospel in this country and they got caught. The soldiers dug a big hole and they pushed the family into the hole. They then started to fill the hole with dirt. If the family tried to escape, they were pushed back in or shot. In that family, there was a father, a mother, and there were about 2 children. There was a chance for them to escape if they admitted that God was a fake and that they would stop being Christians. The children were crying and crying and the mother asked the father to accept the soldiers offer. The father was a firm believer in Christ and he said no. The father then shielded his family and he started to pray. The soldiers told him to stop and they threatened him but the father did not stop. The family then became buried. Many people in this world are being persecuted for what they believe in and other people are being treated as dogs because of what their ethnicity is or what their outward appearance is. I see prejudice in my daily life all the time, whether someone looks funny or someone is a loner. I even have prejudice against people who I don’t even know and I have prejudice against them to just fit in with my friends. The effects of prejudice are very wounding to the victim. Your words can hurt someone a lot and it can leave a scar for a long long time. That person can take it seriously maybe and he would never trust anyone again because he was made fun of. Prejudice can make a person change and can leave marks. A prejudice person can take a long time to change or to stop because they can get sort of addicted to it. They can enjoy the feeling of making themselves higher and making other people lower.
