What is the author's message to the planet?

I think that the theme is that no matter what situation, circumstance, or problem you are in, you must love each other; your family, friends, strangers. Do not lose your anger and fight with one another because that will just make things worse. I think that freedom is also a theme because in the movie, it always showed seagulls; flying in the sky free from harm.
